Live Your Health Award

Local music, yummy plant-based food, and a great cause brought us all together last week for Fruitive's 2018 Live Your Health Award event! Fruitive founder, Gregg Rozeboom, presented local meteorologist Crystal Harper with our first annual Live Your Health Award and we got to hear as they both shared how they live their health.

Harper received a Calamondin (hybrid citrus) tree in a unique handmade pot created by local artist William Kemp. Fruitive chose this tree to symbolize Harper’s resilience in challenging times: Rozeboom first met Harper at the Ghent location’s opening last summer where she told him about her recent cancer diagnosis and journey towards better health through plant-based eating and regular exercise. One year later, Harper is cancer free and feeling healthy! Harper thanked Rozeboom and shared her story with the audience, encouraging them to find ways to Live Their Health. She recommended Fruitive as a healthy solution for any meal.

We anticipate using the Live Your Health award to annually showcase individuals like Harper who are pursuing their wellness exceptionally, as well as to bring awareness to nonprofits and wellness movements those individuals have a passion for.

Fruitive is proud to partner with GotCUREage, a cancer wellness nonprofit Harper personally supports. We will donate the proceeds of our limited run item, The Red Pepper Panini—Harper’s favorite—to GotCUREage (gluten-free bread available)!
